GetLicensedTX exam-day plan
Texas Life Agent and Life, Accident & Health. Original study checklist. Verify official rules before exam day.
Confirm your appointment
- ☐Verify exam name (Life Agent-only vs Life, Accident & Health) on your Pearson VUE confirmation.
- ☐Check date, time, test center (or online proctoring rules), and arrival window.
- ☐Bring the ID types Pearson VUE requires. Names must match your registration.
What to review the night before
- ☐Texas free look, replacement, and producer responsibilities (Texas law weak area).
- ☐Term vs permanent, riders you still miss, underwriting and delivery traps.
- ☐Tax and retirement concepts that showed as weak on your progress report.
- ☐Do a short adaptive set, not a full cram. Sleep matters more than one more long session.
Morning of the exam
- ☐Eat something light. Arrive early with required ID and confirmation.
- ☐Know the rough timing: Life Agent-only is about 2 hours; LAH/GLAH is about 2.5 hours. Confirm current numbers on Pearson VUE / TDI.
- ☐Passing is typically a scaled score of 70. Treat that as a planning note, not a promise.
During the exam
- ☐Flag hard items and move on. Come back with remaining time.
- ☐Read stems twice when Texas statutes or dollar amounts appear. Do not invent numbers you do not remember.
- ☐Watch for absolute words (always / never) and two-answer lookalikes.
After you finish
- ☐Note which weak areas felt shaky while they are fresh.
- ☐If you need another attempt, use GetLicensedTX adaptive practice and the AI Study Tutor on those topics.
- ☐Confirm license application steps on TDI after a passing score. GetLicensedTX is not a TDI school and does not process licenses.
Texas doesn't require a prep course for the General Lines Life, Accident and Health license. Pass the Pearson VUE exam, get fingerprinted, and apply.
